Silver Clay Workshops
These images are taken from the Japanese website and show what can be
achieved!

Our studio is located near to the beach at Frinton on Sea, Essex. Regular
workshops are run throughout the year.
Silver Clay is made from pure silver with an organic binder. The binder burns
away during firing leaving you with pure fine silver. The clay can be moulded
in various ways to obtain the results you want.
This is a great medium to work with, which with a little bit of knowledge enables you to create beautiful silver jewellery.

Silver Art Clay is produced in Japan from recycled silver which is mixed with an organic binder to produce a clay like material that has the appearance of plasticene. When the clay is fired it turns into solid 999 silver.
The silver clay can be moulded into unique pieces of fine silver jewellery. Once you have shaped your clay you dry it with a hair dryer, file out any blemishes and you can then fire it using either a kiln, gas hob or with a butane torch. The silver clay comes in several different forms, these are clay, paste, syringe clay, oil paste and paper all of which have different properties to help you create beautiful pieces of jewellery. Silver clay is very easy to work with and with just a little knowledge you will surprise yourself with the items you can produce.
